DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 29, 2018
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,250
Kevin Durant (at POR – $9,700): Needs 44.8 fantasy points. Durant had 63.5 fantasy points against the Blazers on Dec. 27. As always with Durant, when the Warriors are healthy, he’s a reliable option with a high ceiling. And he’s about the only consistent player for the Warriors right now. Scoring is never an issue and he can do a bit of everything in all categories. Diagnosis: Reliable with a very high ceiling.
DeMar DeRozan (at LAC – $8,500): Needs 38.9 fantasy points. DeRozan was down to 29.25 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Friday. It’s a bit concerning, but DeRozan never lacks for shots. I have to trust him to bounce back and have a strong performance against the Clippers. He’s a better scorer than he showed on Friday and he’s too good of a scorer to struggle in the same manner. Diagnosis: Trust him to bounce back.
Kent Bazemore (vs CLE – $6,500): Needs 29.7 fantasy points. Bazemore had 38.25 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Friday. He’s been very good during this stretch for the Hawks and while I do worry about the back-to-back and the Hawks coming off an overtime game, I have to trust Bazemore’s recent play and the matchup on Saturday. He’s been too good since being back in the starting lineup to think he’ll falter now. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good matchup and ceiling.
