DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 29, 2018
High Value PF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Marcus Morris (at MEM – $6,200): Needs 28.7 fantasy points. Morris has been over 30 fantasy points in his last two games. He’s been solid as the starter and I like this matchup for him. Memphis are tough to score on, but when you need tough buckets, Morris is a guy you can typically count on. He’s going to battle and get those tough points and rebounds. Minutes will certainly be there. Diagnosis: Tough matchup, but a high ceiling. A gut feeling pick.
Trevor Ariza (vs CHA – $5,400): Needs 25 fantasy points. Ariza was down to 19.75 fantasy points against the Bulls on Friday. I’m not too concern because he’s played very well for the Wizards. He had a rough night, but I’ll give him this game to bounce back. He still gets plenty of minutes and opportunities in the Washington lineup and the Hornets are another good matchup. Diagnosis: Trust him to bounce back given the minutes and matchup.
Derrick Favors (vs NY – $4,900): Needs 22.9 fantasy points. Favors has played less than 20 minutes in his last two games, which does have me concerned about his value. But he gets the Knicks on Saturday and with Jae Crowder out of the lineup, Favors should see more minutes. It’s also possible those minutes go to Thabo Sefolosha, so don’t be afraid to look at him as a low-cost option. Diagnosis: Good ceiling if the minutes shake out like I think they will with Crowder out.
