High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Trae Young (vs CLE – $6,600): Needs 28 fantasy points. Young had 35.3 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Friday. He’s been all over the place this season, but his salary has dropped below the line and the minutes and opportunities are still there for him every night. And it’s the Cavaliers. Young is a decent enough scorer and an excellent passer to where he should do enough to at least get you value. Diagnosis: Reliable in this matchup and a high ceiling.

Bryn Forbes (at LAC – $4,800): Needs 20.3 fantasy points. Forbes has been solid for the Spurs as of late and came up with 24.1 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Friday. He and White have made for a good duo in the backcourt with both of them getting around value on a nighty basis. And given the minutes they get, both can always do a bit more. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable and a good ceiling.

Derrick White (at LAC – $4,700): Needs 19.9 fantasy points. Speaking of White, he had 38.7 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Friday. Like Forbes, the minutes are there for him and he can do a bit of everything. The Spurs just have those kinds of players. The duo makes for a cheap PG duo where you can save money and spend big elsewhere. Diagnosis: Reliable due to his salary, good ceiling due to his system.
