Watford face Newcastle at Vicarage Road on Saturday, Dec. 29. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The second half of the Premier League season kicks off on Saturday with Watford hosting Newcastle at Vicarage Road. The Hornets are in the middle of the table but have been trending downwards in recent weeks. The Magpies are in the bottom third of the Premier League table but are five points clear of the relegation zone.

Watford lost 2-1 to Chelsea midweek, ending a two-game winning streak. However, those two wins are the only wins that the Hornets have in their last nine games. In their last nine games, Watford have picked up eight of a possible 27 points. One of the reasons that Watford have struggled lately has been their inconsistent attack. Troy Deeney and Andre Gray have combined for only six goals this season and scored only one goal since Sept. 29. The Hornets need one of Deeney or Gray to start scoring again if they are going to pick up all three points.

Newcastle were blown out by Liverpool on Wednesday, losing 4-0. The Magpies have five points in their last six games and are inching closer to the relegation zone. Newcastle are scored the second fewest amount of goals this season. The Magpies inability to score goals has been a problem that Rafa Benitez has been unable to solve since he took over as manager in March 2016. Jose Salomon Rondon leads the club with four goals this season and will lead the line for Newcastle on Saturday.
