DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 30, 2018
High Value SG
Players costing $6,250 or under
Fred VanVleet (vs CHI – $5,400): Needs 24.8 fantasy points. VanVleet hasn’t delivered as you would hope with Kyle Lowry out of the lineup. But it’s the Bulls. And if VanVleet is starting once again with Lowry out, I can’t help but look at him at this salary. I’m willing to give him this game because the minutes should be there. And again, it’s the Bulls. Diagnosis: Relatively cold, but minutes and opportunities are there. And Bulls.
JJ Redick (at POR – $5,100): Needs 23.3 fantasy points. Redick has seemingly found his shooting stroke over the last few games, which has been great for his value. As always, the shots are there for him. It’s just a matter of him making those shots. They weren’t falling early in the season, but they are falling now. Trust that he remains in form in this game. Diagnosis: Slight risk if he’s off, but a good ceiling and with Embiid out, he should play a bigger role in the offense.
Josh Hart (vs SAC – $4,700): Needs 21.6 fantasy points. Hart has done well since being inserted into the starting lineup with LeBron out. He’s been over 27 fantasy points in both contests. The minutes are there for him right now, as are the opportunities. And with LeBron still out, the circumstances remain good. He’s at a nice salary given his usual minutes and production. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
