DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 30, 2018
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,250
Paul George (at DAL – $9,700): Needs 44.8 fantasy points. George sat out against the Suns, but he’s expected to play in this one. As always, you know what you’re getting from George. He’s reliable because he does a bit of everything and he has a high ceiling with his scoring output. He had 49.75 fantasy points against the Mavericks on Nov. 10, but that was without Westbrook in the lineup. Westbrook makes his job easier and doesn’t limit his ceiling. Diagnosis: Very reliable and a very high ceiling.
Ben Simmons (at POR – $8,500): Needs 39.2 fantasy points. Simmons has been over 55 fantasy points in two of his last three games. And those were tough matchups against the Jazz and Raptors. The Blazers are on a back-to-back, which should help Simmons on Sunday. And if Embiid is out, Simmons will have to do more on the offensive end. Numbers are rarely an issue for him unless he’s playing the Celtics. Diagnosis: Take with confidence if Embiid doesn’t play.
Justise Winslow (vs MIN – $6,500): Needs 30 fantasy points. Winslow continues to deliver as the new starting point guard. I keep waiting for his shooting to drop off, but even if his 3-point shot isn’t there, he’s doing enough with his scoring and plenty with his rebounding and assists. He’s at a very good salary given his usual production. Until I see signs of him slipping, I’ll continue to take him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a very high ceiling and red hot.
