High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Jusuf Nurkic (vs PHI – $8,200): Needs 36.9 fantasy points. The Blazers are on a back-to-back, which is concerning, but the Sixers could be without Embiid. If Embiid doesn’t end up playing, Nurkic will have a much easier time in the paint. The minutes aren’t always there for him, but even in limited minutes, he’s proven that he can deliver solid numbers. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable and his ceiling goes up if Embiid doesn’t end up playing.

Willie Cauley-Stein (at LAL – $7,300): Needs 32.8 fantasy points. WCS had 38.1 fantasy points against the Lakers on Dec. 27. He’s been solid during this stretch, outside of that weird game against the Timberwolves where the starters barely played. And with Zubac coming back down to earth, the Lakers frontcourt doesn’t look quite as good. All of this is good news for the value of WCS heading into Sunday. Diagnosis: Good ceiling and fairly reliable.

Steven Adams (at DAL – $7,100): Needs 31.9 fantasy points. Adams is at a good salary given his usual production. He typically does enough with his scoring and playmaking to be a reliable option. If he doesn’t have to contend with DeAndre Jordan on Sunday, that’s even better news for his value. Even if Jordan plays, the salary is good enough to where Adams should do enough to hit value. Diagnosis: Reliable with a higher ceiling if Jordan isn’t suited up.
