High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Russell Westbrook (at DAL – $11,800): Needs 50 fantasy points. Westbrook found his scoring touch against the Suns and finished with 60.4 fantasy points on Dec. 28. Paul George didn’t play, which helped his scoring, but hurt his assists. PG should be back in this one. Westbrook is still a reliable option because numbers are rarely an issue for him. And if he did play himself into a rhythm, that’s bad news for the Mavericks. Diagnosis: Typically reliable and always has a high ceiling.

De’Aaron Fox (at LAL – $9,000): Needs 38.2 fantasy points. Fox continues to play fantastic basketball for the Kings and until he shows signs of slipping, you should take him with confidence. He had 45.8 fantasy points against the Lakers on Dec. 27. He should find similar success on Sunday as the Lakers aren’t right without their two veteran leaders. Diagnosis: Red hot, good matchup, and a good ceiling.

Damian Lillard (vs PHI – $8,800): Needs 37.3 fantasy points. It’s a back-to-back for the Blazers, but the Sixers could be without Embiid, which would help Lillard’s cause. You can also look at Ben Simmons in this position and I love him without Embiid because it means more opportunities for him on offense. But the matchup is better for Lillard. It’s a coin flip for me with these two. Diagnosis: I hope you’re not just looking at the diagnosis. There’s valuable information in the meat of the content. Sometimes.
