FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 30, 2018
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Lonzo Ball (vs SAC – $6,500): Needs 27.6 fantasy points. Ball has taken advantage of the Lakers injuries and played well in these last two games. He had 55.8 fantasy points against the Kings on Dec. 27. He always seems to play well against the Kings, even if he’s afraid of Fox. With the Lakers still banged up, trust him to keep delivering. Diagnosis: Great circumstances and a high ceiling due to those circumstances.
Tyler Johnson (vs MIN – $4,700): Needs 19.9 fantasy points. Johnson had 26.8 fantasy points against the Cavaliers on Dec. 28. Even coming off the bench, he’s getting enough minutes to produce and does a bit of everything. The matchup is good as the Timberwolves could be shorthanded and they have looked terrible for most of this season, especially on the road. Diagnosis: Reliable at this salary and a good ceiling given his usual minutes and production.
T.J. McConnell (at POR – $4,200): Needs 17.8 fantasy points. McConnell has been very solid throughout the month of December. Nothing overly exciting, but he gets the minutes to contribute and typically chips in with his scoring and passing. He’s at a low enough salary to where he won’t hurt you and he’s a reliable option at this salary given usual minutes. Diagnosis: Reliable if nothing else. The potential for a big game is there.
