FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 30, 2018
High Value SF
Players costing $6,667 or under
Robert Covington (at MIA – $6,500): Needs 27.1 fantasy points. Covington was up to 51.4 fantasy points against the Hawks on Dec. 28. Minutes are never an issue for him and he typically contributes in all categories. The Heat are a tough matchup, but you can never question the effort of Covington and he’s a guy who typically just comes out and makes plays. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Justise Winslow (vs MIN – $6,400): Needs 26.7 fantasy points. Winslow continues to produce as the starting point guard/small forward. Even when he’s not hitting from deep, he’s finding other ways to score. And he’s doing plenty with his assists and rebounding to go well over value. With the way he’s playing it’s tough to see him staying at this salary for long. So grab him while you can. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a very high ceiling.
Harrison Barnes (vs OKC – $5,700): Needs 23.8 fantasy points. Barnes had 34.5 fantasy points against the Pelicans on Dec. 28. His value is still largely tied to his scoring, but with Matthews out of the lineup, those scoring opportunities will come more often. He typically plays well against the Thunder, the November game notwithstanding. This is largely about the circumstances. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling considering the injury to Matthews.
