High Salary PF

Players costing over $6,667

Lauri Markkanen (at TOR – $7,400): Needs 31.9 fantasy points. I don’t love the matchup for Markkanen because I expect a hungry Raptors team after they just lost to the Magic. But I do love Markkanen’s game and we know what he’s capable of. He doesn’t lack for opportunities, which is the good news. But there is better value out of there on Sunday night. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but a risk given the matchup. Could hit in a big way if the Raptors are flat again, I just don’t see that from them.

Kyle Kuzma (vs SAC – $7,200): Needs 31 fantasy points. Kuzma continues to play well with LeBron and Rondo out of the lineup. He’s had to step up with those guys out and he’s done so. Scoring is not an issue for him and he’s done more with his scoring and passing without two of the Lakers better playmakers. He’s at a good salary given what he’s capable of and the matchup. Diagnosis: Love him at this salary. Expect a strong outing on Sunday.

Serge Ibaka (vs CHI – $6,700): Needs 28.8 fantasy points. Ibaka had 41.1 fantasy points against the Magic on Dec. 28. The Raptors didn’t play well as a team, but Ibaka was on his game and given his streakiness, the hope is that he’s about to get on one of his hot streaks. He certainly has the right opponent on Sunday as the Bulls typically can’t stop anyone. Diagnosis: Good ceiling and great matchup. Not always reliable.
