Tight End: Jared Cook, Oakland Raiders- $6,000

Despite the Raiders’ 4-11 record, Cook’s second season in Oakland has been a career year for the 31-year old tight end. Through 15 games, he has compiled 65 receptions for 868 yards and six touchdowns.

Cook nearly leads the Raiders in every receiving category. He is one reception behind Jalen Richard for a team high, and is in first in yards (868) and touchdowns (six). He is averaging 57.9 yards per game and just over 13 yards per reception.

To put Cook’s numbers into perspective, he has the fifth most receptions amongst tight ends. He has the fourth most receiving yards, and is one of four tight ends with at least 800 yards.

For the first time in his career, he has had 100+ yards in more than two games this season. In Week 13 and Week 14 he had back-to-back 100+ yard games. Over the last two games, he has struggled. He has totaled four receptions for 43 yards.

The Raiders wrap up the regular season against the Kansas City Chiefs. In their first meeting, Cook caught seven passes for 100 yards and one touchdown. Kansas City has only allowed two tight ends to eclipse the 100-yard mark; Cook and Jesse James.

Kansas City has struggled against the position group. They have surrendered 81 receptions for 1,016 yards and 10 touchdowns. The Chiefs, Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts are the only three teams in the league to give up 1,000+ yards to tight ends.

Only two teams have given up at least 10 touchdowns to tight ends, the Chiefs and the Bengals. On average, the position group is scoring 13.7 fantasy points per game, second most in the league.

Expect Cook to finish off the season strong and try to spoil the Chiefs’ season.
