High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Karl-Anthony Towns (at NO – $9,800): Needs 43.9 fantasy points. Towns was up to 90.1 fantasy points against the Heat on Sunday. It was a monster game from him and we’ve seen him be capable of these games before. But now it’s a back-to-back and he’ll have to contend with Anthony Davis. It’s a tough matchup and I worry about the Timberwolves on the road, but maybe KAT is feeling it after the performance he turned in on Sunday. Diagnosis: Inconsistent and the back-to-back worries me, but the ceiling is very high.

Julius Randle (vs MIN – $8,300): Needs 37.1 fantasy points. Randle had 47.2 fantasy points against the Rockets on Dec. 29. He’s been very good as a member of the starting lineup and even better at home. With the Timberwolves on a back-to-back, this should be another good outing for Randle. Keep trusting him at home, no matter the matchup at this point. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Deandre Ayton (vs GS – $8,000): Needs 35.8 fantasy points. Ayton was up to 63.3 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Dec. 29. He’s really turned things around in the second half of the month and now he gets the Warriors, who struggle against the center position. He had 45.3 fantasy points against them on Oct. 22. He should be in for another strong game in this one, although no Booker will put more pressure on him. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
