FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 31, 2018
High Value SF
Players costing $6,667 or under
Robert Covington (at NO – $6,500): Needs 27.4 fantasy points. Covington had 29.8 fantasy points against the Heat on Sunday. His minutes are always there and this is a good matchup. The back-to-back worries me a bit, but Covington never lacks for effort. And he does a bit of everything, which helps his value. He’ll do enough to at least get you value in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Harrison Barnes (at OKC – $5,800): Needs 24.5 fantasy points. Barnes had 27.2 fantasy points against the Thunder on Sunday. He typically does well against this matchup and with Matthews out of the lineup, he won’t lack of shots or opportunities. His points should be up in this game, even if his rebounds are down. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Mikal Bridges (vs GS – $4,700): Needs 19.8 fantasy points. Bridges has been very good during this recent stretch for the Suns. He gets plenty of minutes as the starter and he feels like a guy who is going to raise his level of play against a team like the Warriors. If Booker doesn’t play, he’ll get more opportunities as a result. Diagnosis: Good salary, reliable, and a good ceiling.
