High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,250

Damian Lillard (at SAC – $8,700): Needs 40.3 fantasy points. Lillard had just 29.25 fantasy against the Sixers on Dec. 30. It was a blowout where he only played 27 minutes, so I’m not too concerned. He was hot and cold in December, but the opportunities are always there for him. The Kings remain a great matchup because of the pace they play at. It leads to a lot of offensive opportunities for the other team and I trust Lillard to make the most of those opportunities. Diagnosis: A tad inconsistent, but a high ceiling and a great matchup.

De’Aaron Fox (vs POR – $8,200): Needs 38 fantasy points. Fox continued his fantastic run with 48.5 fantasy points against the Lakers. I have no doubts about Fox right now. Unless it’s a weird game like it was against the Timberwolves, you know what you’re getting from him on most nights. He feels like a guaranteed 40 fantasy points and his ceiling is much higher. Diagnosis: Very reliable and a high ceiling.

Jamal Murray (vs NY – $7,600): Needs 34.9 fantasy points. A bum ankle isn’t slowing down Murray. I am worried that he’ll be announced as a late scratch for the Nuggets as the shouldn’t need him against the Knicks. I’m also worried that this is going to be a blowout. The Knicks are not good and the Nuggets are great at home. A blowout is the only real concern in this game. Otherwise, it’ll be an easy night at the offer Murray. Diagnosis: Reliable. Blowout might limit his ceiling.
