DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 2, 2019
High Value PG
Players costing $6,250 or under
Tyus Jones (at BOS – $5,600): Needs 26.1 fantasy points. If the Wolves are still banged up at point guard, keep taking Jones. You can always roll with him as the starter because the minutes are there and he typically does a bit of everything. He’s shown a high ceiling and though the matchup is tough, you have to trust the circumstances. Diagnosis: Take with confidence as long as he starts.
Josh Hart (vs OKC – $5,300): Needs 24.4 fantasy points. Hart has been very good since moving to the starting lineup in place of LeBron. He was up to 39.75 fantasy points against the Kings on Dec. 30. The matchup is tough because the Thunder defense is very good, but Hart doesn’t lack for shots and finds other ways to contribute as well. He’ll get his looks in this one. Diagnosis: Tough matchup, but the circumstances are still good and he’s red-hot.
Kyle Anderson (vs DET – $5,100): Needs 23.5 fantasy points. Anderson was up to 39.25 fantasy points against the Rockets on Dec. 31. He’s not exactly reliable because you can’t count on him in a single category, but he does a bit of everything and chips in with defense. The Pistons are a mess right now and should be taken advantage of. Diagnosis: Reliable because of recent play and matchup with a good ceiling.
