DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 2, 2019
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,250
Paul George (at LAL – $9,200): Needs 42.4 fantasy points. George was down to 37.5 fantasy points against the Mavericks on Dec. 31. Don’t be too concerned. He’s been too good this season to think it was anything more than an off night. He played well against the Lakers last season and there’s sort of a grudge here due to all the offseason talk. More than that, just trust him to bounce back. He’s been too good this season to think otherwise. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a very high ceiling.
Kyle Kuzma (vs OKC – $7,500): Needs 34.6 fantasy points. Kuzma has continued to play well even in LeBron’s absence. He’s been over 39 fantasy points in all three games without LeBron. This will be the toughest matchup he’s had, but Kuzma shouldn’t be doubted given the circumstances and the salary. Diagnosis: Reliable with a very high ceiling.
T.J. Warren (vs PHI – $6,600): Needs 30.4 fantasy points. Warren continues to play well and had 38 fantasy points against the Warriors on Dec. 31. The Sixers are on a back-to-back, which should help the Suns out in this one. And they’ve been fairly competitive in recent contests, thanks to Warren’s contributions. He’s been good against the Sixers in recent history, averaging 36.9 fantasy points in his last three games against Philly. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
