Linebacker. LSU. Devin White. 11. player. 56.

The Cincinnati Bengals found themselves on the outside looking in at the playoffs this season, and for good reason, as they dealt with injuries all year long. Quarterback Andy Dalton and wide receiver AJ Green missed a bunch of times due to being hurt, and it really put a damper on a season that head coach Marvin Lewis needed to go well to keep his job.

In the end, Lewis was let go, ending his 16-year run as the head coach in Cincinnati. While there were some high times with him at the helm, he never did get to win a playoff game with the Bengals, and has put his support behind assistant Hue Jackson taking over for him at head coach moving forward.

When it comes time for the Bengals to draft in April, they have to do something to  improve the defensive, especially at linebacker. One player who could really help this team in 2019 and beyond is LSU linebacker Devin White, who has that sideline-to-sideline ability that teams can build a defense around.

Vontaze Burfict has had his share of issues on the field during his time with Cincinnati, and the team may want to turn the page from him as a leader of the defense. White is a kid who is going to dominate at the NFL level, and a new head coach would be wise to select arguably the best middle linebacker in the draft class.
