Houston. Ed Oliver. 13. player. 59. . Defensive Tackle

The Miami Dolphins struggled through another season out of the playoffs in 2018, and it ended up costing head coach Adam Gase his job. Gase was fired on Black Monday, ending his three-year tenure with the team, which resulted in one playoff win, and very inconsistent play on both sides of the ball.

While getting fired is never good news, Gase is going to land on his feet, as he will be one of the more in-demand head coaching candidates for the eight current openings. The Dolphins, on the other hand, have many more questions to answer moving forward, including if Ryan Tannehill is the answer at quarterback, and how to replace the talent leaving on defense.

One player who could certainly help the defensive side of the ball is Ed Oliver, who is one of the better overall talents in this draft class. Long viewed as a potential No. 1 overall pick, Oliver has struggled through a very strange last season at Houston, and could see himself fall out of the top-10 next April.

Miami needs help up front on defense, and Oliver is a guy who can really disrupt the passing game, and get to the running back in the backfield. The AFC East has been owned by the New England Patriots, and if the Dolphins want to get back to a Wild Card spot,  they are going to have to bring elite talent to both sides of the ball. Oliver would be a nice start.
