45. . Quarterback. Missouri. Drew Lock. 9. player

The Denver Broncos finished the season with a 6-10 record, giving them back-to-back losing seasons for the first time in forever. During this two-year stint, Vance Joseph has been their head coach, but that will not be the case anymore, as John Elway and company fired Joseph after the Week 17 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Joseph’s short stint with the team was mired with issues at the quarterback position, which they tried to put a band-aid on this past offseason by signing Case Keenum. While Keenum had a magical year with Minnesota the season before, he did not bring many wins with him to Denver, and they should be looking for a long-term answer at the position in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Unlike 2018, this draft class does not have a ton of  talent at quarterback, but there are a few names who could be called in the first round next April. One of those names is Drew Lock from Missouri, who has been a record-breaking quarterback during his time in the SEC, and has the size, and talent to be a good one at the next level.

Denver got a pleasant surprise from undrafted running back Phillip Lindsay this season, as he worked his way into the starting lineup, and then into the Pro Bowl. They will base the offense around him moving forward, but without a good quarterback, this team is not going to win the AFC West any time soon.
