Players costing $6,250 or under

Austin Rivers (at GS – $4,600): Needs 21.2 fantasy points. Rivers was down to 18.75 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Dec. 31. The minutes and opportunities are still there for him, which is the good news. And his salary has dropped, which helps you fit him into your lineup. He’s a slight risk because no one on Houston is overly reliable except for Harden. But the circumstances are still good. Diagnosis: Slight risk, but good minutes and high ceiling.

Bryn Forbes (vs TOR – $4,400): Needs 20.3 fantasy points. Forbes had 23 fantasy points against the Celtics on Dec. 31. I continue to love the pairing of Forbes and White because they both play strong minutes and together give you at least 50 fantasy points, which is more than enough value even when you combine their salaries. The matchup is tough, but the duo has been strong during this stretch. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Andre Iguodala (vs HOU – $4,000): Needs 18.2 fantasy points. If the Warriors had Iguodala, they would have beaten the Rockets in three. He’s been all over the place this season, but this feels like an Iguodala game given the matchup. Minutes are typically there and he can do a bit of everything. I expect him to play a big role given the matchup. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but good matchup and a good ceiling.
