High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Nikola Jokic (at SAC – $10,300): Needs 46.4 fantasy points. Jokic was up 65.3 fantasy points against the Knicks on Jan. 1. With the Nuggets getting healthy, Jokic’s production might start to decrease, but the offense will continue to run through him. The Kings are a great matchup and Jokic should have no issue getting his numbers in this one. I’m a little worried about the higher salary with the Nuggets getting healthy. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a great matchup and a very high ceiling.

Clint Capela (at GS – $8,600): Needs 38.7 fantasy points. Capela has been down in his last two games and this typically isn’t his matchup. But the Warriors are struggling from the center position so maybe this is the game where Capela rights the ship against them. The minutes are always there as are the opportunities, given his role in the Houston offense. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but typically not his matchup.

Willie Cauley-Stein (vs DEN – $7,600): Needs 34.2 fantasy points. WCS was down to 25.7 fantasy points against the Blazers on Jan. 1. The points haven’t been there for him lately but he’s been rebounding well and always plays enough minutes. He’ll have his hands full with Jokic and he wasn’t great against them last season, which has me a little concerned for his value on Thursday. Diagnosis: Good ceiling, but a slight risk.
