High Value PF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Serge Ibaka (at SA – $6,600): Needs 28.3 fantasy points. Ibaka has been shooting cold, which does worry me because he is such a streaky shooter. He’s typically played well against the Spurs throughout his career, so I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt in this matchup. If his shot is falling, that will be big news for his value and he has done well with the rebound and assist numbers. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a good ceiling.

Paul Millsap (at SAC – $6,200): Needs 26.6 fantasy points. Millsap had 35.8 fantasy points in 22 minutes against the Knicks on Jan. 1. He’s still not fully healthy and I don’t know if he’ll get the minutes to justify the salary as he’s been all over the place this season. I still love the matchup for him and the Nuggets, but if he doesn’t play enough minutes, the salary is hard to justify. Diagnosis: Minutes are the only real concern. The matchup is good.

PJ Tucker (at GS – $4,400): Needs 18.9 fantasy points. Tucker has been down in two of his last three games. The minutes are still there and they will definitely be there against the Warriors. He’s not shooting well, but you know he’s going to get a handful of rebounds and the shots will continue to be there. He’s not going to hurt you too much at this salary. Diagnosis: Decent ceiling.
