High Salary C

Players costing over $6,250

Nikola Vucevic (at MIN – $9,300): Needs 43.8 fantasy points. Vucevic had 52.5 fantasy points in 26 minutes against the Bulls on Jan. 2. It was the Bulls, but he’s been a high ceiling option all season. He and Towns should be in for a great battle in this game. Vucevic will cost you less and could give you similar production. Towns has the higher ceiling if you’re willing to spend a bit more. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Jusuf Nurkic (vs OKC – $8,000): Needs 37.7 fantasy points. Nurkic had 82.75 fantasy points against the Kings on Jan. 1. He’s been great during this stretch and now he gets the matchup that he was born to play against. He averaged 1.35 FPPM against the Thunder last season. And OKC have never beaten Portland since he was traded to the team. This is simply his game. Diagnosis: A proven matchup with a very high ceiling.

Domantas Sabonis (at CHI – $7,000): Needs 32.8 fantasy points. This is largely on the circumstances. If Myles Turner doesn’t play, take Sabonis with confidence. As good as he’s been this season, his salary is a bit too high because he doesn’t log quite enough minutes to justify the salary. If he could get at least 30 minutes, I’d love him a lot more. Diagnosis: Take with confidence if Turner doesn’t play. The matchupp is great andthe ceiling is high, but minutes limit him a bit.
