High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,250

Victor Oladipo (at CHI – $8,800): Needs 40.6 fantasy points. Oladipo had been a little cold, but he was up to 46 fantasy points against the Hawks on Dec. 31. The Pacers haven’t needed him quite as much as they’ve turned into a well-rounded team, but we know he can take over. And if Myles Turner is out for this game, Oladipo will have to do a bit more on the offensive end. More importantly, it’s Chicago. He should be in for a big scoring game. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

D’Angelo Russell (at MEM – $7,400): Needs 34.1 fantasy points. Russell had 55.75 fantasy points against the Pelicans on Jan. 2. The matchup is much tougher on Friday, but at the same time, I don’t know what to make of the Grizzlies after their recent in-fighting. And Russell has been red hot while Dinwiddie has cooled off. I’ll trust Russell to keep it up. Diagnosis: Red hot and a very high ceiling. Memphis will either fall apart or come together. I know the Nets are together.

Brandon Ingram (vs NY – $6,800): Needs 31.3 fantasy points. No LeBron, no Rondo, no Kuzma. More Ingram. This one is all about the circumstances and matchup. Not only will be the ball be in Ingram’s hands the entire game, but he gets the Knicks. He’s an inconsistent player, but he’s a strong scorer and always chips in with rebounds and assists. Love him in this game. Diagnosis: Perfect matchup and circumstances for him to post a monster game.
