High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,250

Devin Booker (vs LAC – $9,000): Needs 41.5 fantasy points. Booker had 51 fantasy points against the Sixers on Jan. 2. His salary has gone way up from that matchup, which is slightly concerning, but I love the way he’s playing right now. He does a bit of everything and the matchup is good as the Clippers are spiraling in a bad way right now. Booker will get it done in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Donovan Mitchell (at CLE – $7,200): Needs 33.2 fantasy points. Mitchell has missed value in three of his last four games. His scoring numbers are down and his value is too often tied to his scoring. But it’s the Cavaliers. I have to trust that his scoring will be up in this matchup. Or his assists or rebounds will be something. He’s too good of an offensive player to struggle in this matchup. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but a great matchup and a very high ceiling.

CJ McCollum (vs OKC – $6,400): Needs 29.5 fantasy points. McCollum has been up-and-down in recent contests. He was down against the Kings, so if the trend holds, he’ll be up against the Thunder. Perhaps more importantly than the trend is the fact that he typically dominates this matchup. He averaged 43.5 fantasy points in four games against the Thunder last season and the Thunder haven’t won in Portland in years. Diagnosis: Proven up and a very high ceiling.
