High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Bojan Bogdanovic (at CHI – $5,400): Needs 24.6 fantasy points. I’m all about taking advantage of the Bulls on Friday. Especially with a team as good as the Pacers. You know what you’re going to get from Bogdanovic on most nights. He’s going to be around 30 fantasy points and there’s something to be said about getting those guaranteed points. And maybe he goes a bit higher if his shot is really falling. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Tyler Johnson (vs WAS – $5,300): Needs 24.4 fantasy points. Johnson had 32 fantasy points against the Cavaliers on Jan. 2. He’s been more hit than miss recently and can do a bit of everything. The return of Dion Waiters will cut into his value at some point, but not for a couple of weeks. With the Wizards being the Wizards and now having depth issues due to injuries, this is a great spot for Johnson. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling and a great matchup.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (vs NY – $4,900): Needs 22.3 fantasy points. KCP has been at 37 fantasy points in his last two games. He’s shooting hot right now and the Lakers are going to need his scoring with all the injuries they have. He can be inconsistent and his value is largely tied to his scoring, but the scoring is there right now. Diagnosis: Red hot, great circumstances, high ceiling.
