FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 4, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Russell Westbrook (at POR – $11,600): Needs 49.8 fantasy points. Westbrook had 56.2 fantasy points against the Lakers despite his shooting woes continuing. I don’t know what you’re going to get from Westbrook in terms of his scoring, but I know you’re going to get plenty of assists, rebounds, and defense. This is historically a matchup he does alright against, but Westbrook historically does alright against every team. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling if his shot starts falling.
Damian Lillard (vs OKC – $8,800): Needs 37.8 fantasy points. Lillard has been more miss than hit in his recent contests. But there are a lot of question marks at the point guard position due to injuries. And we at least know Lillard is going to play. He averaged 48 fantasy points in three games against the Thunder last season. And the Thunder struggle in Portland. If Lillard is going to have a bounce back game, this would be it. Diagnosis: Cold right now, but a good matchup and high ceiling.
Eric Bledsoe (vs ATL – $7,200): Needs 30.9 fantasy points. Once again, injuries play a part at this position. Bledsoe has been going through a rough stretch, but he did have 34.8 fantasy points against the Pistons on Jan. 1. Now he gets the Hawks, who are a great matchup for anyone because they are the Hawks. If nothing else, Bledsoe should be able to at least hit value because he’s a good player on a great team. Diagnosis: Reliable.
