High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

CJ McCollum (vs OKC – $6,400): Needs 27 fantasy points. McCollum has been up-and-down in his last six games. He was down against the Kings on Jan. 1, so if the trend holds, he should be back up in this one. More important that the trend might be how well he plays against the Thunder. He’s averaged 41.9 fantasy points in four games against the Thunder last season. This is his matchup. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and a high ceiling. His recent play is slightly concerning.

Malcolm Brogdon (vs ATL – $5,700): Needs 24 fantasy points. Brogdon continues to be a reliable option. And now he gets the Hawks. There’s little mystery around Brogdon’s game. He’s going to do a bit of everything and he has a good ceiling because of it. He’s not going to hurt your team overall and will always give you something close to value. Diagnosis: Reliable, great matchup, solid ceiling.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (vs NY – $4,500): Needs 19 fantasy points. KCP is running really hot right now, hitting 36 fantasy points in his last two games. The Lakers are going to need his shooting and he is shooting well right now. There’s always a chance that he goes ice cold, but the opportunities will continue to be there for him. And it’s the Knicks, so if he goes cold, it won’t be due to good defense, just a poor night. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but hasn’t proven anything long-term.
