FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 4, 2019
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,667
Paul George (at POR – $10,200): Needs 43.1 fantasy points. George hasn’t been getting the rebounding and assist numbers he was a week ago, but I’m not too concerned. The scoring numbers are still there and the defensive numbers are almost always there. This is a matchup that has haunted the Thunder in the past few years, which is a bigger concern than George’s drop off in rebounding and assists. But I still trust him to deliver. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a very high ceiling.
Danilo Gallinari (at PHO – $7,300): Needs 30.8 fantasy points. Much like George, you know what you’re getting with Gallinari. He’s a reliable option with a good ceiling, although his ceiling isn’t nearly as high as George’s. But he’s also not going to cost you as much. The matchup is good and Gallinari should have no issue getting his scoring and rebounding numbers in the game. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Brandon Ingram (vs NY – $6,900): Needs 29.1 fantasy points. This is all about the circumstances. No LeBron, Rondo and possibly no Kuzma. That means a lot of Ingram. He’s been all over the place this season, but he’ll be tasked with carrying a lot of the load on Friday. And with the kind of opportunities he will get along with the matchup against the Knicks, I have confidence in him. Diagnosis: Great circumstances and matchup. Very high ceiling.
