High Value PG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Elfrid Payton (at CLE – $5,700): Needs 26.6 fantasy points. Payton had 37 fantasy points in 34 minutes against the Nets on Jan. 2. As mentioned in the previous slide, his return has hurt the value of Holiday because he runs the offense more when he’s in the lineup. It’s the Cavaliers and it’s the Cavaliers on a back-to-back. Payton should continue to make the most of his role. Diagnosis: Very reliable, great matchup, good ceiling.

Kyle Anderson (at SA – $4,900): Needs 22.6 fantasy points. It’s not quite a revenge game for Anderson because he’s already played the Spurs this season, but he did have 27.25 fantasy points against the Spurs on Nov. 21. He’s a guy who plays with the chip on his shoulder and will keep that up despite the first game revenge factor being out of the way. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling and a partial revenge game.

Derrick White (vs MEM – $4,800): Needs 22.2 fantasy points. White continues to play a very strong game and had 28 fantasy points against the Raptors on Jan. 3. I continue to love his game, and his salary isn’t going anywhere. His minutes are good and he can do a bit of everything. The Grizzlies are on a back-to-back, which should help him. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
