Players costing over $6,250

James Harden (at POR – $12,200): Needs 56.4 fantasy points. I feel like I’m running out of words to describe Harden’s game. He had 91 fantasy points against the Warriors on Jan. 3. And if game-winning shots counted for more, he would have had more. The Blazers are on a back-to-back, but it really hasn’t mattered who Harden has faced during this stretch. Until I see a single sign of him slipping, I’m taking him. Diagnosis: It’s James Harden. Build around him with confidence.

Buddy Hield (vs GS – $6,700): Needs 30.5 fantasy points. Hield appears to be over his shooting woes, which is a good sign for his value. His value is a bit too tied to his scoring right now, but he’s shot hot for most of the season. And it’s not like the Warriors defense is scaring anyone right now. He’s averaging 40.9 fantasy points in two games against the Warriors this season. Diagnosis: Red hot and a proven matchup.

Klay Thompson (at SAC – $6,600): Needs 30.1 fantasy points. Klay has been mainly hot during this stretch. His only down game was against the Suns where he played just 25 minutes. He’s averaging 42.4 fantasy points in his two games against the Kings this season. Trust that he remains hot. The opportunities will obviously be there with the pace of this game. Diagnosis: Hot, reliable, good ceiling.
