High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

JJ Redick (vs DAL – $5,500): Needs 25.1 fantasy points. Redick was up to 43.5 fantasy points against the Mavericks on Jan. 2. If Jimmy Butler is out, I like Redick a lot more. Because he’s featured more in the offense. And the dynamic is just weird with the Sixers right now, especially with the latest report of Butler calling out the coach. The Mavericks are on a back-to-back and typically don’t play as well on the road. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling, especially if Butler is out.

Jordan Clarkson (vs NO – $5,100): Needs 23.6 fantasy points. The Cavaliers are on a back-to-back, but I like this matchup too much to care. The Pelicans defense is just bad and gets even worse when you talk about their bench unit. One of the Cavs guards is going to have a big game. With the way Clarkson shoots, he’s my best bet. Diagnosis: Grab one of the Cleveland guards. It could be Hood or Burks who ends up with the big game, but I’m rolling with Clarkson.

Bryn Forbes (vs MEM – $4,500): Needs 20.8 fantasy points. And if you don’t quite like Derrick White, you can always roll with Forbes. As I said prior to Thursday’s game, I love pairing these two up together. You’re getting value at the very least and probably more than that given how well they’ve been playing during this recent stretch. Until they crash, watch opponents burn. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
