DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – Jan. 5, 2019
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,250
Giannis Antetokounmpo (vs TOR – $11,300): Needs 51.8 fantasy points. The Bucks are on a back-to-back, but it’s not like they broke a sweat against the Hawks on Friday. They’ll be ready to go for this game against Toronto. And the Raptors will be well prepared after the drubbing they took against the Spurs. Expect the stars to shine in this one. And Giannis almost always shines bright. Diagnosis: It’s Giannis.
Kevin Durant (at SAC – $9,400): Needs 43.1 fantasy points. I’m not in love with Durant’s game right now and he’s definitely underperforming. But I love any matchup against the Kings just because of the pace they play at. It’s perfect for DFS and when they are matchup up with another high pace team, the numbers go through the roof. Durant will bounce back in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
DeMar DeRozan (vs MEM – $8,300): Needs 37.8 fantasy points. DeRozan got a measure of revenge against the Raptors on Jan. 3, finishing with 62 fantasy points and his first career triple-double. He’s been good more often than not this season and should be playing with a lot of confidence in this game. The Grizzlies being on a back-to-back should help him. Diagnosis: Typically reliable with a very high ceiling if there’s no big letdown after the Raptors game.
