High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,250

Russell Westbrook (vs WAS – $11,100): Needs 52 fantasy points. Westbrook was at 53.25 fantasy points against the Blazers on Jan. 4. You know what you’re getting from him on most nights. And that’s numbers. Even if his scoring isn’t there, the rest of his numbers are. The scoring should be there in this one given the Wizards defense. Expect Westbrook to post another strong game in this one. Diagnosis: Only real concern is a blowout. But even in limited minutes he’ll put up strong numbers, just maybe not enough to justify the salary.

Kemba Walker (at PHO – $9,200): Needs 43.1 fantasy points. It’s been a rough couple of games for Kemba. And the Hornets are on a back-to-back, which doesn’t have me feeling too great about his value on Sunday. But what does have me feeling great is the fact that the Hornets are playing the Suns. The lid will come off for him at some point. May as well be the Suns. Diagnosis: Cold, but great matchup and never lacks for chances.

Justise Winslow (at ATL – $6,900): Needs 31.8 fantasy points. Winslow’s scoring has dipped, but the minutes and assists are there. And he gets the Hawks. One would think that his scoring will pick back up in this game. I’m slightly intrigued by Trae Young because his game as leveled out and he’s played very well against the Heat this season. But Winslow has the higher ceiling of the two right now and the better matchup. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable and a high ceiling.
