DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 6, 2019
High Value SF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Trevor Ariza (at OKC – $5,900): Needs 27 fantasy points. Ariza had 37.75 fantasy points against the Heat on Jan. 4. For the most part, Ariza’s game is reliable. He does a bit of everything and has a good scoring ceiling with his shooting. The matchup is tough, but my guess is that a Washington role player will step up and Ariza is the best bet. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
Thaddeus Young (at TOR – $5,600): Needs 25.7 fantasy points. Young had 30.25 fantasy points against the Bulls on Jan. 4. If Turner doesn’t play, that would be great for Young’s value. His typically reliable due to the minutes he plays and is rarely going to hurt your team. But if Turner is out, it means more opportunities for Young. Diagnosis: Reliable. His ceiling goes up if Turner doesn’t play.
Bojan Bogdanovic (at TOR – $5,500): Needs 25.1 fantasy points. And if you don’t quite believe in Young, you can always go with Bogdanovic. His ceiling isn’t quite as high as Young’s, but he’s just as reliable. And if he can get his shots to fall, his ceiling does go up. The matchup is tough, but I don’t have many concerns with Bojan’s game right now. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
