High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Alex Len (vs MIA – $5,800): Needs 26.2 fantasy points. Len continues give you solid value despite limited minutes. It would be nice if his minutes were up, but he’s a high energy in limited minutes guy. The matchup is tough, but is tough and his salary keeps climbing, but his ceiling is still good. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but minutes could crash at any point, which could be an issue.

Willy Hernangomez (at PHO – $5,100): Needs 23 fantasy points. Not the greatest options, but he’s played well lately and it’s the Suns. He typically gets enough minutes to at least get you value. But there’s always a chance that his minutes go down. On a back-to-back, I’m not really sure what you’re going to get from them in this one. But it’s the Suns, which means it should be a strong offensive game for both teams. Diagnosis: An option.

Nerlens Noel (vs WAS – $3,700): Needs 16.7 fantasy points. Noel had 32.5 fantasy points in 14 minutes against the Blazers on Jan. 4. He doesn’t play big minutes, but he’s active in those minutes and just has a habit of making plays. And now he gets the Wizards. Maybe his minutes are up in this one as it could be a blowout. At worst, he’ll save you a lot of money and his score will be dropped from your lineup. Diagnosis: Good punt option.
