High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Darren Collison (at TOR – $5,900): Needs 25.4 fantasy points. Collison was down to 8.2 fantasy points against the Bulls on Jan. 4. He was on a roll and then the bottom dropped out on him. And the Raptors aren’t the best matchup to try and bounce back against. The Raptors are on a back-to-back, which maybe help the Pacers out a bit. Diagnosis: Minutes and opportunities are there, but he’s very inconsistent and the matchup isn’t great.

Fred VanVleet (vs IND – $5,300): Needs 22.8 fantasy points. VanVleet finally had the breakout game, finishing with 42 fantasy points against the Bucks on Saturday. The minutes are always there with Lowry out of the lineup and he is a steady hand for the most part. And his salary remains at a reasonable level due to the back-to-back. Diagnosis: Slightly inconsistent but never lacks for minutes or opportunities.

Tyler Johnson (at ATL – $4,900): Needs 21.1 fantasy points. Johnson’s minutes have gone down, but he’s still putting up solid numbers despite the limited minutes. And now he gets the Hawks. If nothing else, he’ll get you value. And the ceiling is higher if he ends up playing extra minutes. Diagnosis: Reliable if nothing else. A good ceiling if he ends up around 30 minutes.
