High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,250

Kyrie Irving (vs BKN – $9,200): Needs 42.9 fantasy points. Kyrie has been sidelined the last couple of games, but it looks like he’ll be back for this one. And he gets the Nets on a back-to-back, which should be a good sign for his value. He was hot before the injury and I expect him to return to form. There is some worry about rust, but I’m going to trust him. Diagnosis: High ceiling. Only concern is some rust.

Damian Lillard (vs NY – $9,000): Needs 42 fantasy points. Lillard had 45.75 fantasy points against the Rockets on Jan. 5. He’s not shooting the ball great right now, but the assist numbers are there and he’s still too good of a scorer to not get points. And it’s the Knicks. He should be in for an easy night. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling. A blowout could be in play.

Jrue Holiday (vs MEM – $7,900): Needs 36.5 fantasy points. Holiday had 40.75 fantasy points in 27 minutes against the Cavaliers on Jan. 5. He’s a reliable option, especially at this salary. And his ceiling is high in a game like this because his minutes will be up and he does a bit of everything. You can take him with confidence in this game. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
