DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 7, 2019
High Value PG
Players costing $6,250 or under
Kyle Anderson (at NO – $5,200): Needs 23.9 fantasy points. Anderson had 24 fantasy points against the Spurs on Jan. 5. As always, he doesn’t typically produce big in a single category, but he does produce in all categories. He had a monster 52.75 fantasy point effort against the Pelicans on Dec. 7. He probably won’t go that high again, but it shows what he can do against this matchup. Diagnosis: Proven matchup, typically reliable, high ceiling.
Derrick White (at DET – $5,000): Needs 23.1 fantasy points. White continues to play a steady game. His salary has climbed a bit, but it’s not high enough for the production he’s typically giving you. He’s scoring the ball very weak and he chips in in other categories. And the Pistons are a great matchup because the Pistons are just dreadful. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Austin Rivers (vs DEN – $4,700): Needs 21.7 fantasy points. Rivers had 25.75 fantasy points against the Blazers on Jan. 5. As always with him, shots are not an issue. And maybe he chips in with rebounds and assists. Maybe his hot shooting streak ends in this game, but the minutes and opportunities will continue to be there. The matchup is tough, but he remains at a good salary. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but I always worry about his shooting falling off.
