Players costing over $6,667

Nikola Vucevic (at SAC – $9,700): Needs 43.7 fantasy points. Vucevic’s minutes have been down recently, which is slightly concerning. He’s still producing in those limited minutes, but he really needs to do more given his salary. The matchup is a good one because it’s the Kings. And we know he has a very high ceiling. It’s just a matter of getting the minutes to produce. Diagnosis: High ceiling and a great matchup, but a slight risk based on lack of minutes right now.

Jusuf Nurkic (vs NY – $9,500): Needs 42.8 fantasy points. Nurkic has been outstanding for the Blazers recently. And now he gets the Knicks. There is a blowout concern in this game, but if the Knicks can keep it competitive, Turkic will get the minutes to have his usual outing. This feels like a big game for him given the opponent. Diagnosis: Hot, high ceiling, and Knicks.

Julius Randle (vs MEM – $8,500): Needs 38.3 fantasy points. Randle had 49.4 fantasy points against the Cavaliers on Jan. 5. He continues to roll as the starter and should get plenty of minutes in this game given the Grizzlies frontcourt. Until he shows signs of slowing down, I have to trust that he will continue to deliver. He’s doing a bit of everything and the ceiling is very high. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
