High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jarrett Allen (at BOS – $6,200): Needs 27.9 fantasy points. Allen has been over 30 fantasy points in his last three games. The Celtics aren’t great against the position and he continues to produce. The points and rebounds are typically there and he always comes up with a defensive play or two. He can be inconsistent, so keep that in mind. Diagnosis: Good ceiling and hot.

Enes Kanter (at POR – $6,000): Needs 27 fantasy points. If you could tell me that Kanter is going to play at least 25 minutes, I would take him with all the confidence in the world. But the minutes are not guaranteed right now and that has me concerned about his value. He’s at a good salary given the production he’s capable of. And if he could get the minutes, you know he will deliver. Diagnosis: A risk because his minutes are not guaranteed. But trust that they will be there.

Mohamed Bamba (at SAC – $4,200): Needs 18.9 fantasy points. Sticking with my theme of going all in on the Magic-Kings game. Mo Bamba is playing fairly well right now and getting enough minutes to at least justify the salary. This feels like a game where he can produce solid numbers because it should be an up-and-down game where his athleticism can shine. Diagnosis: Good ceiling, but hasn’t proven a whole lot. A solid punt option.
