BOSTON, MA – DECEMBER 10: Anthony Davis #23 of the New Orleans Pelicans dribbles against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden on December 10, 2018 in Boston, Massachusetts. (Photo by Maddie Meyer/Getty Images) /

High Salary PF

Players costing over $6,667

Anthony Davis (vs MEM – $12,500): Needs 53.8 fantasy points. Much like Giannis is Giannis and Harden is Harden, Anthony Davis is Anthony Davis. He had 53.5 fantasy points in 29 minutes against the Cavaliers. Granted, it was the Cavaliers. The Grizzlies are a tough matchup, but Davis is playing out of his mind on most nights and we know what he’s capable of. Plus, this likely won’t be a blowout, which means Davis will get plenty of minutes. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a very high ceiling.

Aaron Gordon (at SAC – $7,200): Needs 31 fantasy points. I don’t love Gordon on most nights because he’s like a box of chocolates. But if you’ve been paying attention, you’ll know that I love this matchup. The Kings pace should be perfect for what Gordon likes to do. The assists have been there for him and I have to trust that he’ll get rebounds and points in this game. Trust the matchup. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but the matchup is good and he has a high ceiling.

Jaren Jackson Jr (at NO – $6,900): Needs 29.7 fantasy points. Triple J has been getting more minutes lately and it’s led to an increase in production. I trust that he’ll continue to get minutes moving forward. He should get plenty of them in this game with the Pelicans frontcourt. He didn’t play much in their earlier meeting this season, but I expect things to be different on Monday. Diagnosis: High ceiling, given the matchup. A slight gut feeling.
