Players costing $6,667 or under

Noah Vonleh (at POR – $6,100): Needs 26.3 fantasy points. Vonleh had 32.5 fantasy points in 17 minutes against the Lakers on Jan. 4. He had 45.8 fantasy points against the Blazers on Nov. 20. He’s been outstanding for the Knicks during this run, even in limited minutes. Points and rebounds typically aren’t an issue for him and I expect his minutes to be up. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

Derrick Favors (at MIL – $6,000): Needs 25.8 fantasy points. Favors has been playing very well for the Jazz lately. I’m waiting for the bottom to drop out on him because he’s been all over the place this season, but I do like this matchup as the Bucks struggle against power forward. He remains at a good salary given his usual production. Diagnosis: Hot, fairly reliable, and a good ceiling.

Al-Farouq Aminu (vs NY – $5,800): Needs 25 fantasy points. Aminu was down to 20.6 fantasy points against the Rockets on Jan. 5. I’m not too concerned as he had been playing well prior to that game and he typically gets the minutes to produce. More importantly than all of that, it’s the Knicks. This should be a matchup where Aminu does a bit of everything and at least gets you value. Diagnosis: Reliable.
