High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,250

Bradley Beal (at PHI – $8,900): Needs 40.7 fantasy points. Beal didn’t have a great shooting night, but still managed 47.25 fantasy points against the Thunder on Jan. 6. With Wall out of the lineup, he’ll continue to have to do everything and he’s proven that he can do just that. I expect his shooting numbers to be back up in this one. Throw in his usual assist and rebounding numbers and he’ll be in for a strong night. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Buddy Hield (at PHO – $7,400): Needs 33.7 fantasy points. Hield didn’t shoot the ball well against the Blazers. It’s not a great sign, but I’m going to trust that he’s able to bounce back given the matchup. It’s the Suns, so Hield should get buckets in this game. I am a little concerned that his value is largely tied to his scoring, but maybe he lucks into some rebounds and assists. Diagnosis: Trust him to bounce back given the opponent.

Klay Thompson (vs NY – $6,800): Needs 31.1 fantasy points. There is a lot to like at shooting guard on Tuesday, but there’s also a lot of blowout potential. For example, Curry is typically reliable, but it could be the Durant show against the Knicks. And I love Oladipo, especially if CoJo and DC don’t play, but it’s possible the Pacers still end up with a blowout. Thompson won’t hurt you quite as much and is just as reliable given his scoring ability. The matchup is obviously a good one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling if the Knicks can make it competitive.
