High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Tristan Thompson (vs IND – $6,200): Needs 27.9 fantasy points. Thompson was up to 34.2 fantasy points against the Pelicans on Jan. 5. His minutes are back up after the injury and he looks to be returning to form. Someone has to get those points and rebounds for the Cavaliers and he’s the best bet. The matchup is tough, but a lot working in Thompson’s favor. Diagnosis: Reliable with a solid ceiling.

Enes Kanter (at GS – $6,000): Needs 27 fantasy points. Kanter got minutes on Monday, which means he got fantasy points. The Warriors are typically a tough matchup because they can scheme him off the court, but that’s usually reserved for the playoffs. In the regular season, he’s a much better option. And the Warriors have center issues, which makes Kanter a good option as he can take advantage of them. Diagnosis: If the minutes are there, the production will be there.

Kevon Looney (vs NY – $4,600): Needs 20.7 fantasy points. You pretty much know what you’re going to get with Looney, especially against this matchup. He gets good minutes and plays alongside three All-Stars and one All-Star based on name. He always does just enough and he has a decent ceiling. Again, it’s the Knicks. Even in a blowout, Looney will do enough to at least get you value. Diagnosis: Reliable, good matchup, good ceiling.
