High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Emmanuel Mudiay (at GS – $6,100): Needs 26.1 fantasy points. Mudiay has another strong game on Monday, finishing with 38.9 fantasy points against the Blazers. It’s a back-to-back, but someone has to score perimeter points for the Knicks and Mudiay is looking like the best option right now. And it’s not like the Warriors defense has been up to par for most of the this season. Mudiay also chips in with assists to go along with his scoring. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Tyler Johnson (vs DEN – $4,900): Needs 21 fantasy points. Johnson was down to 17.6 fantasy points in 17 minutes against the Hawks on Jan. 6. It’s concerning that his minutes dropped below 20 and it’s something to keep in mind heading into Tuesday’s game. The matchup is good with the Nuggets being on a back-to-back. And if Johnson gets the minutes, he can produce. I’m going to trust that he’ll get the minutes in this one. Diagnosis: Good ceiling, but be wary of lack of minutes.

T.J. McConnell (vs WAS – $4,700): Needs 20.1 fantasy points. McConnell is nothing if not consistent. You just know what you’re getting from him on most nights. He gets plenty of minutes and does enough in all categories to at least get you value. I’m not sold on anything the Wizards are selling after their performance against a disinterested Thunder team. Their bench and defense still have issues. And McConnell will deliver. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
