High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,667

Bradley Beal (at PHI – $9,800): Needs 41.4 fantasy points. Beal had 49 fantasy points against the Thunder on Jan. 6. He didn’t even have a good shooting night, but he does enough in other categories to where it doesn’t matter. With Wall out, Beal continues to be a great option because of his reliable scoring and his ability to get rebounds and assists. Continue to roll with Beal until he enters the lull that he entered last season during Wall’s injury. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Klay Thompson (vs NY – $7,500): Needs 31.7 fantasy points. Thompson continues to look more like himself with each passing game. And now he gets the Knicks. Like with Curry, the only concern here is this one turning into a blowout. But if the Knicks can somehow keep it competitive, Thompson will get his scoring numbers and do enough in other areas to at least get you value. There is a lot of blowout potential with shooting guards. A guy like Oladipo and Butler are strong options as well (especially Oladipo) but their salary hurts you more in a blowout. Diagnosis: Reliable with the only issue being a potential blowout.

Lou Williams (vs CHA – $6,800): Needs 28.7 fantasy points. Williams had 26.8 fantasy points against the Magic on Jan. 6. His minutes still aren’t quite what you would want them to be, but otherwise, he’s still delivering. He’s typically good for his scoring and assist numbers. I don’t have many concerns with Williams, especially against this matchup. He should have no problem carving up the Hornets defense. Diagnosis: Love the matchup and he’ll produce in a big way.
