High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,667

Kevin Durant (vs NY – $10,300): Needs 43.4 fantasy points. Durant had 53.5 fantasy points against the Kings on Jan. 5. He had 56.3 fantasy points against the Knicks on Oct. 26. Once again, the only issue is a blowout. Durant is typically reliable on the Warriors and he has a high ceiling. It’s possible the Warriors placate him given the matchup and let him get all the numbers in this one. Kawhi is going to run into the same issue as Durant with the blowout possibility. Diagnosis: Only concern is a blowout. He should still be reliable in limited minutes.

Paul George (vs MIN – $10,000): Needs 42.2 fantasy points. George was down to 36.3 fantasy points against the Wizards on Jan. 6. I’m not concerned. George has been too good this season to think it was anything more than an off night. He knows he didn’t play well against the Wizards and he’ll make up for it against the Timberwolves. Diagnosis: Expect him to bounce back in a big way. He’s been too good this season to think he won’t.

Danilo Gallinari (vs CHA – $7,500): Needs 31.6 fantasy points. Gallinari was down to 22 fantasy points against the Magic on Jan. 6. Much like with George, he’s been too good this season to think it was anything more than an off night. Plus, it’s the Hornets. They have been brutal defensively this season and even worse on the road. Gallinari will bounce back. Diagnosis: Trust him to return to form given the opponent. He’s reliable with a good ceiling.
