The Indianapolis Colts were a team who many did not know what to expect from this past offseason, as Andrew Luck was coming off missing two seasons due to a shoulder injury. Well, Luck is officially back, and after leading his Wild Card Colts to a victory over the Houston Texans on the road in the Wild Card Round, they are not a team anybody wants to play right now.

The big thing the Colts did was bolster the offensive line, and they did so over time. During the 2018 NFL Draft, they selected Notre Dame offensive guard Quenton Nelson, who not only was a starter in year one, but  an All-Pro, joining fellow rookie Darius Leonard from the other side of the ball.

This is a Colts team that could make a deep run, and some believe they can go into Kansas City and knock off the Chiefs and first-year starter Patrick Mahomes. Whether or not that happens, it has been a terrific season for Indy, and you have to think the organization is very excited about where the team is headed.

Indy has a ton of cap space next year, and while their pick in the first round is late, they could still get a dominating defender in Dexter Lawrence. Though he had to miss the College Football Playoff due to suspension, he is a big reason why they got there, and it would be wise of the Colts to bolster the other side of the line with this year’s first round pick.
